*Prerequisites:
Minimum age: 15 years.
Swim front crawl or breaststroke for 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing.
Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs, placing hands under armpits.
Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds.
o Starting in the water, swim 20 yards.
o Surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object.
o Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point.
o Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification or Lifeguarding Certification not expired longer than 30 days.
INCLUDES LIFEGUARDING SKILLS AS WELL AS CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER AND FIRST AID – 2 YEAR CERTIFICATION

There is an outdoor pool at this facility. Portions of this class may take place outdoors.

1) Make a right onto Liberty Avenue (1st light after the Home Depot)
2) A left onto Merrick Road.
3) A quick right into the parking lot.
The purpose of this course is to help participants achieve recertification in Lifeguard Training without having to take the full content course. This review course includes First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
**If you do not have a mask combo set you can buy a new one on-site for $15.00.

Course participants are assigned one of the following grades at the conclusion of there course:
■ Successful is entered for a participant who has successfully attended and participated in all class sessions, including activities and skill sessions, and demonstrated proficient competency in all required skills. Successful students will receive an American Red Cross Certification in the course taken.
■ Unsuccessful is entered for a participant who has not met course objectives and/or has not successfully attended and participated in all class sessions, including activities and skill sessions, demonstrated proficient competency in all required skills, or violated any Aquatic Solutions policies. Unsuccessful students will not receive an American Red Cross certification.
■ Not Evaluated is entered as the final grade for a participant who is not attending the course with the intention of receiving a completion certificate. This grade should not be substituted for Unsuccessful for a participant who attempts certification but is unable to pass the completion requirements. A participant who chooses to audit must make their intent known to the instructor at the beginning of the class. Not Evaluated students will not receive an American Red Cross certification.

1) Take Merrick Road East into Freeport, (The entrance to the recreation center is about a quarter mile east of the rear entrance to the Home Depot, on the RIGHT).
2) Make a right turn into the parking lot. (If you pass the entrance, make a right at the traffic light and look for the recreation center entrance on Atlantic Avenue).
