All of our classes are taught according to the standards set forth by the American Red Cross. We also offer all our students who take a class with us the opportunity to sit in the same class again if they want to observe and participate in discussions. Aquatic Solutions/American Red Cross Training
Aquatic Solutions is an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider, and all our courses (except CPO), are American Red Cross courses. This means the courses will yield any applicable American Red Cross certifications upon successful completion. Aquatic Solutions conducts these courses in accordance to American Red Cross training guidelines. Any requests to conduct courses in a way that violates American Red Cross policies will be denied.
Refund Policy/Transfer Policy
It is the responsibility of participants to arrive on time for their scheduled class.
Refunds and Transfers: Students who pay in full for classes (Base level and Instructor level) are entitled to a partial refund only if they cancel their class within seventy-two (72) hours of their purchase date. All refunds that are approved will incur a 25% Administrative Fee. This means that the participant is only eligible for up to 75% of the purchase amount within this 72 Hour period. A customer is allowed to convert their full paid amount into a credit that can be used within one (1) year of purchase date at no additional charge within this 72 Hour Period. After this date the customer will not receive a refund but are allowed to transfer the credit paid for the next available class for an administrative fee of $30.00 per person transferred. Discount codes will not be valid for transfer charges. No cancellations can be made within twenty-four (24) hours prior to the start of the course, and no refunds will be granted to anyone who attempts to cancel their course within 24 hours prior to class start date, regardless of when the course was paid for.
Any customer who purchases a course within 24 hours prior to the start date and start time agrees that their purchase is “All Sales Final.” This means that there is no refund/transfers and no reschedules for any Online Only courses. The purchaser agrees upon checkout that no refund will be provided, and no reschedules/transfers will be granted.
There is no refund given for any students who do not attend their scheduled course. There is no refund for any student who does not pass a course for any reason. If a student does not pass, they will not be granted any form of refund, and would need to re-enroll for a course.
It is the responsibility of the participant to arrive on time for their scheduled class. Lateness is considered a missed class as the participant did not actively attend all course sessions and activities. The purchaser agrees that no refund will be provided, and no reschedules/transfers will be granted for a missed class.
How to Request a Refund: All refund requests who fall within the policy should be submitted to [email protected]. If a refund request is not received via email, it will not be reviewed or processed. If a Refund Request is reviewed and deemed eligible, it will be posted within 2- 4 weeks of being approved.
Group Rates: Organizations that obtain a Group Rate are not eligible for refunds. However, Transfers will be provided to High-volume organizations. The designation of High-volume is at the discretion of Aquatic Solutions.
Seasonal Special: Any Lifeguarding Courses designed as Seasonal Special have a $30.00 reschedule fee applied.
Provisional Certifications: Any participant who accepts a Provisional Certification while they wait for an In-Person Skill Session accepts that this arrangement creates an “All-Sales Final” commitment. This means that the participant will not be eligible for a refund if they decide not to attend an In-Person Skill session for any reason.
Online Only: All Online Only Courses are All Sales Final”. This means that there is no refund/transfers and no reschedules for any Online Only courses. The purchaser agrees upon checkout that no refund will be provided, and no reschedules/transfers will be granted.
Appropriate Behavior and Attendance Policy:
Aquatic Solutions, Inc. strives to maintain a safe and supportive teaching environment for all participants. Disruptive behavior is prohibited in any of our classes. Disruptive behavior is any behavior which Aquatic Solutions regards as speech or action which is disrespectful, offensive, and/or threatening, interferes with the learning activities of other students, impedes the delivery of instructional services, and/or has a negative impact in any learning environment – including classrooms and aquatic environments.
Disruptive behavior includes physically, verbally or psychologically harassing, threatening, or acting abusively toward an instructor, staff member, or toward other students in any activity conducted by Aquatic Solutions.
Aquatic Solutions reserves the right to remove any participant who violates this policy. Aquatic Solutions also reserves the right to withhold any customer from returning should they violate this policy.
Pre-Course Assessments Policy
For any courses with Pre-Course Assessments:
Pre-Course assessment means that the materials must be completed before the beginning of any Course work. It is the first thing done on Session 1 of the course, and cannot be assessed after the Pre-Course assessment portion of the course has finished. Aquatic Solutions administers all Pre-Course assessments as required by the American Red Cross.
It is the responsibility of the student to prepare for any Pre-Course assessments prior to the first day. Any participants marked unsuccessful in the Pre-Course assessment are ineligible to participate in the course for certification, but can stay and watch the duration of the course.
Online Completion Report Policy
Please ensure that Online Completion reports are presented to the Instructor at the beginning of the course. The online Completion is a Prerequisite and as such needs to be completed before the course begins. It cannot be done once the course has already started, nor can extensions be provided to complete these materials after the course has started.
It is the course participant’s responsibility to successfully complete the Online materials. If you are purchasing the course on behalf of someone else, such as an employee, it is your responsibility to forward all the pertinent materials to the participant.
Participants who do not present a valid Online Completion Report will not be allowed to proceed in the course for certification purpose, but will be given the opportunity to audit the course for experience, however they will not be certified regardless of the success of the In-Person Skills session/Pre-course Assessment. Auditing the course will not count towards completing a Skill Session, and the participant acknowledges that auditing without an Online Completion means that the participant will need to redo the entire In-Person Skill Session on a later date when a valid Online Completion report is presented.
Missing the Online Completion report constitutes not having a Prerequisite for the course, and is considered a Fail. Participants are responsible for passing the Blended Learning materials. It is the responsibility of the participant to start Blended Learning materials on time, and should a participant present themselves without an Online Completion Report due to failing the Online materials, they will be considered a Fail. Students who did not complete the Online sessions are not eligible for a refund as they are considered failing the course. All applicable reschedule fees will apply to any participant who fail due not completing or passing their Online sessions.
Lifeguard Course Specific Policies:
This Policy applies to all courses designated as Blended Learning Lifeguarding.
The Prerequisite for the Lifeguarding course are as follows:
The Lifeguarding Course, along with the Pre-Course Assessment, are not a Learn-To-Swim course. Instructors are not responsible for teaching participants how to swim, nor are they responsible for making corrections to strokes. At the time of the Pre-Course Assessment beginning, the participants should be adequately prepared to pass these skills.
In the event you miss or do not pass any part of the course you may retake the your course on the next available offering at no additional charge, with the credit valid for the four (4) months from your originally scheduled course. Any courses designated as Season Special are exempt from this free retry.
Instructor Courses Policy
Any participant enrolling into an Instructor Course assumes the responsibility of passing the Pre-Course Assessment as well as presenting valid requirements for the course. This includes having the correct Basic/Provider level certifications. Aquatic Solutions conducts all Instructor courses as outlined by the American Red Cross and there is no exception to conducting these assessments. Instructor courses are not designed to teach you Base/Provider level skills, and The Instructor Trainers teaching the course will not be able to re-assess after the maximum amount of assessment is conducted. All Skills must be demonstrated to standard as outlined in the Instructor Manual and as demonstrated in the videos. Any participant who does not pass the Pre-Course Assessment for the course they enrolled to will be able to transfer the credit their credit for $90.00.
Exam Policy
Lifeguarding Courses: All Lifeguarding courses require that participants complete two written exams. For Instructor-Led courses, this would be the CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers with First Aid exam and the Lifeguarding Skills exam. For Blended Learning courses, The CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers with First Aid is completed on the Online Portion and the Lifeguarding Skills exam is conducted in person.
If a participant does not successfully pass the written exam(s), they will be allowed to review the exam for any wrong answers and reschedule to a later date for an alternative exam(s). This alternative exam must be completed within ten (10) days of the course completion date. If the participant does not complete the alternative exam(s) within ten days of completion, they will be required to retake the entire Lifeguarding course. If a participant requests to take the alternative exam(s) on the same day as the first exam(s), they accept full responsibility in the event that they do not successfully complete the alternative exam(s) without enough time to review and re-immerse in the course materials. If both the first exam(s) and the alternative exam(s) are unsuccessful, then the participant will be required to retake the entire Lifeguarding course.
Instructor Level Courses: All Instructor level courses have only one (1) exam. Reexamination is not possible as there is no alternative exam for Instructor level courses. In the event that an Instructor candidate is unsuccessful with the written exam, the candidate would be required to retake the entire Instructor course.
Healthcare Suite (BLS/ALS/PALS): All Healthcare Suite courses require one final written exam that is course specific. If taking an Instructor-led course, this final exam would be open book, and the participant will be provided with manuals to use throughout the course and for the exam.
If a participant does not successfully pass the written exam, they will be allowed to review the exam for any wrong answers and reschedule to a later date for an alternative exam. If the participant does not complete the alternative exam within ten days of completion, they will be required to retake the entire course. If a participant requests to take the alternative exam on the same day as the first exam, they accept full responsibility in the event that they do not successfully complete the alternative exam without enough time to review and re-immerse in the course materials. If both the first exam and the alternative exam are unsuccessful, then the participant will be required to retake the entire course.
COVID-19 (2020) Related Policies
Cancellations: Refunds will not be issued to participants who cancel the course seventy-two (72) hours after purchase. However, transfer fees will be waived and participants will have one (1) year from purchase date to reschedule their offering. Aquatic Solutions reserves the right to postpone courses in the event of State or Federally mandated shutdowns. Aquatic Solutions will not issue refunds for any courses that are cancelled due to mandated shutdowns if the courses are outside this 72 hour post-purchase window. In these cases, any payments made towards a course will be transferred to any available offerings after business is allowed to resume.
Aquatic Courses: All Aquatic Courses are subject to cancellation. Due to the tactile nature of the courses, and as advised by New York State (NYS) on Nonessential activities, Aquatics training will be postponed until further notice. Enrolling in a future offerings does not guarantee that offering will run.
Land Based Courses: All First Aid/CPR/AED and Basic Life Support courses will be switched to Blended Learning to ensure that there is minimal in-person class time. Aquatic Solutions reserves the right to change all Instructor Led courses to Blended Learning at any time until the State of Emergency is over. Both these courses are running with Enhanced Protocols as well as with Guidance from the American Red Cross. As such, skills will be conducted in a way to prevent coming in contact with other participants.
Provisional Certifications: Provisional Certifications are all Blended Learning and require an Online Portion. This Online Portion will be provided via email to you by one of the Aquatic Solutions Administrators. Any current Blended Learning links on our this website or other similar websites will not yield Provisional Certifications as the voucher we will send to you is specifically designed and connected to your registration in a Provisional certification with us. Upon Successful Completion of the Online Portion, Participants are certified with a Provisional 90-Day certification. Within this 90-Day Provisional certification period, Participants will need to complete an In-Person Skill Session with Aquatic Solutions at any of our available training sites to obtain the full two (2) year certification. Participants have the option to obtain Provisional Certifications while they wait to schedule for an In-Person Skill session. Any participant who accepts a Provisional Certification course and registers for such an American Red Cross Provisional course with Aquatic Solutions accept that this arrangement creates an “All-Sales Final” commitment. This means that the participant will not be eligible for a refund if they decide not to attend an In-Person Skill session required for the full two (2) year certification for any reason.
Gift Certificate Policy
Gift Certificate Refund Policy: All Gift certificates are All Sales Final. All Sales Final means that there are no refunds for any Gift Certificate and that the purchaser acknowledges that once purchased, they are not entitled to a refund. Gift Certificates cannot be redeemed for Cash value.
Gift Certificate Validity: Gift Certificates are valid for One (1) Year of Purchase date. After this date, the Gift Certificate converts to a credit equal to the amount paid for the Gift Certificate, and any difference in the listed price and the Gift certificate will have to be paid by the person redeeming the Gift Certificate.
How to Redeem: A Gift Certificate be redeemed by either the purchaser or the participant listed on the Gift Certificate. If the Gift Certificate is transferred to another person, the Purchaser would need to email Aquatic Solutions in order to transfer the Gift Certificate to another person. To redeem the Gift Certificate, please email [email protected] with the Gift Certificate. Aquatic Solutions will redeem your Gift Certificate and provide you with a Single Use Cod that can be redeemed upon checkout on our website. Gift Certificates can only be redeemed for courses listed on the Gift Certificate. They cannot be transferred to other offerings aside from courses listed on the Gift Certificate.
Once the Gift Certificate is redeem, it cannot be used again.
Discount Codes: Discount Codes do not Stack with Gift Certificates. Aquatic Solutions reserves the right to terminate a Gift Certificate if a customer uses any codes to purchase Gift Certificates.
Price Controlled: Gift Certificates are Price Controlled. During the 1 Year Redeem Period, you are allowed to redeem the Gift Certificate for any Programs listed on the Gift Certificate, regardless of any Price Increases or Decreases that occur over the course of the year. If the course price increases, your Gift Certificate will be honored for redemption regardless of increases within the 1 Year of Purchase.

Lifeguard Course Specific Policies:

- Minimum age: 15 years. (ID must be presented with Proof of Age)
- Swim front crawl or breaststroke for 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing.
- Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs, placing hands under armpits.
- Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds. Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. Surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point. Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
The Lifeguarding Course, along with the Pre-Course Assessment, are not a Learn-To-Swim course. Land Based Courses: All First Aid/CPR/AED and Basic Life Support courses will be switched to Blended Learning to ensure that there is minimal in-person class time. Aquatic Solutions reserves the right to change all Instructor Led courses to Blended Learning at any time until the State of Emergency is over. Both these courses are running with Enhanced Protocols as well as with Guidance from the American Red Cross. As such, skills will be conducted in a way to prevent coming in contact with other participants.
Provisional Certifications: Provisional Certifications are all Blended Learning and require an Online Portion. This Online Portion will be provided via email to you by one of the Aquatic Solutions Administrators. Any current Blended Learning links on our this website or other similar websites will not yield Provisional Certifications as the voucher we will send to you is specifically designed and connected to your registration in a Provisional certification with us. Upon Successful Completion of the Online Portion, Participants are certified with a Provisional 90-Day certification. Within this 90-Day Provisional certification period, Participants will need to complete an In-Person Skill Session with Aquatic Solutions at any of our available training sites to obtain the full two (2) year certification. Participants have the option to obtain Provisional Certifications while they wait to schedule for an In-Person Skill session. Any participant who accepts a Provisional Certification course and registers for such an American Red Cross Provisional course with Aquatic Solutions accept that this arrangement creates an “All-Sales Final” commitment. This means that the participant will not be eligible for a refund if they decide not to attend an In-Person Skill session required for the full two (2) year certification for any reason.
Gift Certificate Policy
Gift Certificate Refund Policy: All Gift certificates are All Sales Final. All Sales Final means that there are no refunds for any Gift Certificate and that the purchaser acknowledges that once purchased, they are not entitled to a refund. Gift Certificates cannot be redeemed for Cash value.
Gift Certificate Validity: Gift Certificates are valid for One (1) Year of Purchase date. After this date, the Gift Certificate converts to a credit equal to the amount paid for the Gift Certificate, and any difference in the listed price and the Gift certificate will have to be paid by the person redeeming the Gift Certificate.
How to Redeem: A Gift Certificate be redeemed by either the purchaser or the participant listed on the Gift Certificate. If the Gift Certificate is transferred to another person, the Purchaser would need to email Aquatic Solutions in order to transfer the Gift Certificate to another person. To redeem the Gift Certificate, please email [email protected] with the Gift Certificate. Aquatic Solutions will redeem your Gift Certificate and provide you with a Single Use Cod that can be redeemed upon checkout on our website. Gift Certificates can only be redeemed for courses listed on the Gift Certificate. They cannot be transferred to other offerings aside from courses listed on the Gift Certificate.
Once the Gift Certificate is redeem, it cannot be used again.
Discount Codes: Discount Codes do not Stack with Gift Certificates. Aquatic Solutions reserves the right to terminate a Gift Certificate if a customer uses any codes to purchase Gift Certificates.
Price Controlled: Gift Certificates are Price Controlled. During the 1 Year Redeem Period, you are allowed to redeem the Gift Certificate for any Programs listed on the Gift Certificate, regardless of any Price Increases or Decreases that occur over the course of the year. If the course price increases, your Gift Certificate will be honored for redemption regardless of increases within the 1 Year of Purchase.
