The purpose of the instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers course. The instructor course is delivered in a blended format. Instructor candidates must complete a portion of their training online, then complete a precourse exam. The online portion provides an orientation to the American Red Cross and covers core information in the instructors manual. After successful completion of a precourse exam, instructor candidates must complete the classroom portion of the course. The classroom portion includes additional course information, verification of skills and practice-teaching assignments.
Base level certification is required as a prerequisite for this class.
